Corporate Trendiness

Welcome to the fashion blog of a business student, where corporate trends meet corporate trendiness.

Have Heart

Valentines Day is just around the corner and with that comes the inevitable Valentines Day outfit decision. There was once a time when wearing as much pink and red as you could was acceptable. This was around the same time you gave and received valentines from every person in your third grade class. So as an adult, how do you dress for the occasion without coming across as juvenile?

I personally love Valentines Day. To begin with, I love the gifts of the holiday - roses and chocolate are my favorite things. I also am obsessed with the color scheme, sorry not sorry. While some complain about the Hallmark manufactured holiday that puts pressures on couples and serves as "single's awareness day" for people not in relationships, I actually enjoy the holiday. The day is about love, whether it is romantic or platonic, weather you celebrate with a boyfriend/husband or your best girl friends.

While it is pretty easy to add a pop of pink or red to your everyday wardrobe for the 14th of February, how do you add a hint of hearts? Hearts aren't as typical or mainstream on apparel and accessory choices (though it is becoming more trendy - hello, bow elbow sweaters). I've compiled options for different ways to wear hearts and still look mature (see above!).

  1. Love the idea of heart printed shoes or fun accessories to get into the holiday spirit!
